The London bus network
The London bus network operates in and around London with a total of 673 routes with an average fleet of over 8,000 buses! That is why it's the largest bus network in the United Kingdom.
Some of the key routes in Central London include the 15 which runs between Trafalgar Square and Blackwall, the 38 between Clapton Pond and Victoria Bus Station and the 24 between Pimlico and Hampstead Heath.
London buses do not accept cash but instead, they have a contactless card called an Oyster card which must be topped up before you get on. When you get on, you must touch on via a card reader and touch off when you get off or you'll be charged for the full journey.
If the tube ever goes on strike, the buses gets extremely busy with very congested traffic with extra buses running on most routes.
